iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
Apple does not permit sideloading, so the arrangement is different: you use a player from the App Store and hand it your details. It works well once it is set up.
Before you start
- An iPhone, iPad or Apple TV
- Your Xtream details from your account
Pick a player from the App Store
Search for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes. Several are free with an optional paid upgrade, and that upgrade goes to the app author rather than to us. Try the free version first.
Add the subscription
Choose to add a playlist or an account, select Xtream Codes, and enter the server address, username and password from your account page. Copy and paste rather than typing, since the on-screen keyboard is where mistakes happen.
Send it to the television if you want to
Once channels are playing on the phone or tablet, AirPlay puts the picture on an Apple TV or a compatible set with no further setup. If you have an Apple TV, the same player is usually on the tvOS store as well, which is steadier than AirPlaying everything all evening.
Worth knowing before you start
- Switch off Low Power Mode while watching. iOS throttles background network activity when it is on and the stream is the first thing to suffer.
- On cellular data, check your allowance before a long match. Video is the fastest way through a monthly bundle there is.
