MAG and Formuler Box
The least fiddly setup here. The box identifies itself by MAC address, so there is no username, no password and nothing to mistype.
Before you start
- A MAG or Formuler box
- The MAC address printed on the underside
Read the MAC address off the box
It is on the sticker underneath and looks like 00:1A:79 followed by three more pairs. You can also find it on screen under Settings, System Settings, then About, which is easier than turning the box over behind a television.
Give us the MAC at checkout
Choose MAG as the delivery type on the order form and type the address in exactly as printed, colons included. This is the only detail we need from you, and it is what the portal uses to recognise the box.
Point the box at the portal
On the box go to Settings, System Settings, Servers, then Portals. Put the brand name in the name field and paste the portal address from your account into the URL field.
Restart the portal
Save and restart the portal from the system menu. The channels load on their own with no sign-in screen to get past, which is exactly why people who have one of these boxes keep them.
Worth knowing before you start
- One wrong character in the MAC and the portal will not know the box. If it does not load, check the address before anything else.
- Replacing the box does not mean buying again. Send support the new MAC and we will move the subscription across at no charge.
